ONE is an event based exhibition concept initiated and organized by Sex Tags and Trykkeriet. For each presentation a new artist is invited to collaborate with Sex Tags on a time limited, site specific project. Each events takes place at Trykkeriet.

For the ONE #4, Sex Tags invited Kjersti Vetterstad who engages in an art practice that involves media such as video, installation, sculpture, text, drawing, performance, collage and photography. At the center of Vetterstad´s work stands the human being, with all its neuroses and complexities. Her subject matter explores the human mind in relation to social conditions and the repressive structures of society.

Vetterstad studied at the Art Academy in Bergen, William de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and Konstfack, Stockholm. She has participated in group exhibitions and projects including Gavle Konstcentrum, PM Galerie in Berlin, Kunsthall Oslo, Galleri F15 in Moss, MDT Stockholm and recently at W139 in Amsterdam. She has had solo shows at Entree in Bergen, and at Dortmund Bodega, Podium and Tidens Krav in Oslo. Also, Vetterstad has been doing several ongoing collaborative projects with Monica Winter, such as “Mom and Jerry: Contemporary Art on Sale”

The ONE exhibition series received funds from the Norwegian Arts Council and the Municipality of Bergen.
