The course will go through ways of making the digital positive. We will talk about pigment paper. What is it? Where can one buy it? Can you make it yourself? We sensitize, making the pigment paper to UV light. Exposure. What do we need? Etching, what is baumé? We prepare the copper plate for printing. How do we print a photogravure? We look at different types of paper and ink. This and much more during a 5-day course at Trykkeriet in Bergen. The course is both for beginners and those who have made the occasional photogravure before but need a refresh.
